Schiltach - a place worth seeing
Numerous half-timber framed buildings surround Schiltach's market place, a scene that can be found in picture books. The centre and symbol of Schiltach: the town hall which was built over 400 years ago.
A walking tour through the town is very worthwhile and should include the old town and a visit to one of the four (free) museums. No visit to Schiltach would be complete without visiting the oldest tannery in the Black Forest.
